I thought I’d figured it out, but it took another turn… I read this quickly because I really wanted to know what was going on with the mystery at its centre. Lots of contemporary cultural references, paired with this old, mythical Ireland of ice and snow and the supernatural, which was really nice. I saw him as real and genuine, therefore went with the supernatural elements of the story and certainly enjoyed it.
